Sampler Card Class March 23rd at the Mesa Arts Center

Hi everyone, I know it's been awhile since my last post life has just been happening like crazy.

It's time to craft!!!  It has been way too long since our last class.

I will be teaching a sampler class at the Mesa Arts Center this Sunday from 2-3 in the multi-purpose room.  We will be creating simple cards using embossing folders, die cuts, stamp sets with matching punches (yay no cutting :-) ) and a watercolor effect.

Below are the cards you will be making.  We only have an hour so just 4 cards this time around.

To register you can call the Mesa Arts Center at 480/644-6520 and mention it's a SPARK class; here is the registration info: CYW14SSW001-09, SU, Mar 23, 2-3 pm, Card Making with Pamela.

The class fee is $5; you can't beat that!

I will also be teaching a paper craft class on Friday April 4th from 6 - 9 pm in the same place.  The theme for this class is Dynamic Backgrounds.  The class code is CAW14PCW028-01 and the fee is $23 with a $5 supply fee to be paid in class.  I will be posting these cards soon.

Have a great weekend and hope to see you in class...

March 2013 Vintage Card Class

I loved creating this months card class since I love everything vintage.  I had so many ideas that I couldn't do everything I wanted to so I'm just going to have to teach this class again to include the cards I didn't include this month.

Below are the cards we made Friday night.

January 2013 MAC Card Class

I'm so behind in my blogging it seems working 3 jobs is taking up all my time; yikes :-)

January I taught a "simple" card class at the Mesa Arts Center; we made 10 cards.

I taught 9 cards and surprised the class on card 10 that they were creating their own card.  I wish I would have taken my camera with they made some pretty cool cards.  I provided the stamp set and the brown card base they did the rest with scrap paper, ribbon, inks, markers, etc.

Below are photos of the cards we made minus the creations from class:

Next card class is March 8th and it will be Greeting Cards with a Vintage Flare.  Here's more info on this class:

Greeting Cards with a Vintage FlareLace, jewels, pearls, vintage photos and more create the beautiful and timeless vintage style. We will be making greeting cards with that vintage flare and using distress inks and tools to give your cards that distress look. To make your cards even more personal you will learn how to take a copy of a family photo and age it and use it on one of your cards.
Supply cost $5 to be paid at class. Please bring scissors and your favorite glue.

Mesa Art Center Box Class

Wow what a fun and very stressful class at the Mesa Art Center!  The week started with being interviewed by Jessica Testa a reporter from the Arizona Republic.  You can read the article online at Azcentral.com.

This is the first class I have taught for 17 students!  It took me all day Sunday and all day Monday to prepare for this class cutting, scoring and designing all the boxes.

Thank goodness I had help from Rachel the night of the class I know I wouldn't have been able to do it without her.  Rachel, THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!  You rock girl :-)

It was so worth it the students were wonderful and so much fun!  The puffy box is not an easy box to grasp when making the template and I was so pleased the entire class had no problem with this box at all; ladies you were awesome!!!

Thank you for such a fun time I hope you enjoyed the class and are making lots and lots of boxes.

Below are the projects we made.
